The right to a fair trial is a human right.
Representing a person in criminal or extradition proceedings means standing up for fairness, to ensure that my clients do not become mere “objects” of the process, but remain active participants in a procedure that must respect their dignity and rights.
In cases involving an arrest abroad, investigations taking place in several countries, or an INTERPOL notice, I take into account all authorities and jurisdictions concerned in order to provide comprehensive advice. I work in close cooperation with specialized colleagues around the world, because an effective defense in proceedings with international dimensions requires a detailed understanding of specific provisions under German law, European Union law, and international conventions.
Language barriers, cross-border coordination between authorities, and non-transparent procedures within international organizations often present particular challenges. I respond to these with professional and linguistic expertise, combined with the support of a trusted international network.
I also have extensive experience in preparing constitutional complaints and applications to the European Court of Human Rights. My goal is to ensure that the right to a fair trial is not merely guaranteed in theory or on paper, but is effectively realized in practice.
Fairness, however, also means that we agree on a fee arrangement that corresponds to the client’s personal and financial circumstances and reflects the principle of equality that guides my work.
